Good Morning! đ
Did you know that the Eiffel Tower in Paris, can be 15cm (5.9 inches) taller during the summer?
Due to thermal expansion, the iron of the Eiffel Tower expands with the heat of summer, causing the tower to grow by up to 15 centimeters!
As someone who is weary of hights, Iâm not sure how that makes me feel about going up the tower when Iâm in Paris this summerâŠ

Jewel's #NotAloneChallenge
Jewel Kilcher, the multi-platinum singer-songwriter, recently released her new album, âFreewheelin' Woman," in 2023. The album has garnered significant attention for its empowering themes and catchy melodies. Along with the album release, Jewel also launched the #NotAloneChallenge in partnership with iHeartRadio to raise awareness for mental health and provide resources to those in need.
The #NotAloneChallenge aims to bring together a coalition of over 120 mental health advocates, including leaders in technology, media, finance, entertainment, sports, and more. The campaign's mission is to remind people that they are not alone during challenging times, offer free mental health resources, and raise funds to make mental health support available to those in need.
Jewel has been open about her own struggles with mental health and her experiences growing up in a difficult environment. She has used her platform to inspire others and provide tools for self-improvement through her music and her non-profit organization, âInspiring Childrenâ.
Here is a great recent interview she did on the Kelly Clarkson Show.

Veggie Farm Thrives in Desert!

In Aqaba on Jordan's Red Sea coast, the Sahara Forest Project practices innovative farming amid extreme water scarcity. Despite Jordan importing 98% of its food this farm found a way to plant crops like cucumbers, peppers, and passion fruit.
This sustainable farm relies on solar power and seawater, using evaporative systems and salt-tolerant plants. The project aims to reverse land degradation by enriching soil through waste recycling. With a successful track record, the project is expanding, replacing seawater trucks with a pipeline and aiming to absorb more carbon than it emits. It has created good jobs in the area and provides training of sustainable farming methods, offering a model for sustainable agriculture amid the challenging arid climate.

Finally, Longer Phone BatteriesâŠ
Samsung is set to introduce a "battery protection" feature for both upcoming Galaxy S24 and current Galaxy phones. This feature provides three options to prolong battery life.
"Basic protection" stops charging at 100% and resumes at 95%, preventing constant topping up. An adaptive charging mode slows down charging until morning, learning the user's routine for "moderate protection." "Maximum protection" stops charging at 80% and resumes below that level, similar to a feature in Apple's iPhone 15.
Although initially thought to be exclusive to One UI 6.1, expected with the Galaxy S24, it seems possible to activate it in One UI 6 using an app called Activity Launcher.
For all the moon zooming and wizardry our smartphones can do, I'm just waiting for the day when their battery life can rival my old Nokia's - that thing could outlast a cockroach in an apocalypse!

Mine came out as âsixesâ which means: The committed, security-oriented type. Sixes are reliable, hard-working, responsible, and trustworthy. Excellent "troubleshooters," they foresee problems and foster cooperation, but can also become defensive, evasive, and anxiousârunning on stress while complaining about it. They can be cautious and indecisive, but also reactive, defiant and rebellious. They typically have problems with self-doubt and suspicion. At their Best: internally stable and self-reliant, courageously championing themselves and others.
(Huh, wonder what my boss has to say about thisâ kidding!! đ€Ș đ)
